If you'll give me 90 minutes a week for six weeks, I'll help you kick start your journey to a healthy and more energised pregnancy.
Join an exclusive programme designed to help tired, irritable and uncertain pregnant women to go from feeling ‘meh’, to feeling incredible and empowered.
My name is Felicitie Walls, better known as Flik, and I’m here today because I want to give you access to my new programme, ‘Incredible Bumps.’
This is a programme which will enable you to understand and make healthier choices and build healthy habits that will help you to feel healthier, better manage your energy and deal with the common issues faced in pregnancy.

Before you join us, I want to tell you the quick back story about how it was created.

It all started 8 years ago when I started coaching individuals towards healthier ways of eating and living to achieve their personalised goals.

What was obvious, was that unhealthy dietary habits are hard to break and that ALOT of women after pregnancy feel frustrated at the weight gain and reduced energy they have after birthing their children.

Fast forward to 2.5 years ago, I got pregnant with my first child, I knew what to eat and do to best support my pregnancy journey, and what to do following this to support my energy levels during breastfeeding and postpartum recovery. And all in all, I did pretty well. Healthy pregnancy, healthy baby, healthy recovery. By twelve months post partum I was feeling great!

However, when it came to my second baby, things were much more challenging!
I found out I was pregnant, not long after my sons first birthday, and so this time around, not only did I have myself to look after, but also a busy toddler (who was still breastfeeding). My energy, motivation and ability to look after myself dwindled and the pregnancy was a struggle.

My baby girl was born, two weeks late, weighing a sturdy 10lb 3oz (4.6kg), and arrived via a vaginal birth. It was not an easy ride for either of us. And being on the 99th percentile of her birth size came as a shock to me and my partner.

After the birth, the life of caring for (and breastfeeding) two under two, really started to take its toll on my physical and my mental health. Each day, I was living moment to moment, constantly ravenously hungry, ridiculously tired, irritable and upset.

Of course, some of this was down to the usual hormone changes post pregnancy, but I knew this was worse than I had felt the first time around and I was desperate, for my sake and that of my little family, to feel more like myself again.

"I decided that something had to change"
The first few weeks passed, and to my most wonderful surprise, my baby girl was a much better sleeper than my toddler (she only woke every couple of hours for a feed, whereas the toddler could be up for hours on some nights). Somehow, slightly less sleep deprived than I had imagined, I decided that something had to change. I knew I had to take control of the situation and find a way, any way to start taking better care of myself. It wasn't easy with a newborn and a toddler. A toddler that slept pretty awful (have I already said that?), and now also he had to adjust to a tiny, but mighty new sibling in all the spaces that used to just be his.
After just a week of making some small changes (the habits I had used in my last pregnancy and recovery period), I started to feel a bit better. After a few more weeks again, and building on the tiny habits I was using I was feeling more energised. I felt less tired and was finding more and more of myself. I realised and remembered that applying the foundations of good nutrition and wellbeing were the trick to having more energy, being less irritable and returning to my incredible self, that felt empowered to take on the world again.

Within a few months, I was taking on new challenges and feeling better than I had in years. I felt excited to start planning what became known as my 'maternity projects' and taking steps that I knew would transform my life, and be beneficial to my family. I felt awesome!
With my improved mental clarity and energy I started thinking about my experience of my second pregnancy and what I could have done differently with a little more guidance and focus. Whether with a bit more time, care and awareness that I could have helped my baby to be born at a slightly more (birth) manageable weight. How could I have been better prepared ahead of, and during my second pregnancy to make better food choices and to maintain my energy levels? Why didn’t I use what I knew to be more prepared for the postpartum period, which I knew from previous experience was going to be tough?
-
What if there had been a programme I could have joined to help keep me focused on my pregnancy nutrition and wellbeing?
-
What if in the online social groups I was part of, there was more of an encouragement and awareness about healthy eating habits?
-
What if I felt more able to appropriately prepare for the days I knew that were coming?
I believe all of these things (or even just one of these things) would have helped me and my family and so this led me to design the ‘Incredible Bumps’ programme. A programme for women who would welcome more guidance and support on their journey of motherhood (whether it's their first time, or last time, or anywhere in between.)

I want to help you to be focused on your nutrition and wellbeing, to have the support when you need it most to build healthy habits that will be beneficial for you right now, but also when your baby arrives and to ensure you are better prepared for the early weeks and months when life can get a little tricky.
